Jordan Lovejoy

Founder & Operating Partner

Build strength into the business.

Jordan Lovejoy has spent eight years building and scaling businesses across enterprise technology, real estate, and private equity. That range reflects a consistent pattern: entering an industry, learning it from the ground up, and building systems that scale.

Early Career

Apple and entrepreneurship.

Jordan holds an academic background in biochemistry and molecular biology, training that established an analytical, systems-first approach to problem solving, breaking complex situations down to their component parts before acting.

Jordan began a professional career in 2014 with four years in strategic leadership at Apple, where he managed B2B enterprise teams and oversaw multi-million-dollar client relationships. The role required navigating complex organizational structures and holding accountability across large, cross-functional teams. In 2017, while still at Apple, Jordan also joined a startup building a tradeshow platform based in Utah, an early venture into startup operations, product development, and go-to-market execution outside a corporate structure.

Transition

Into real estate.

In 2018, Jordan moved into pharmaceutical sales, spending two years as a pharmaceutical drug representative. That role offered the flexibility to begin studying real estate on the side: market fundamentals, deal structures, and how capital moves through acquisitions and development. What started as a side pursuit became the foundation for a full transition.

Jordan began building direct, hands-on real estate experience leading residential remodels and flips on high-end luxury homes, completing more than $15 million in transaction volume. That ground-level work, spanning acquisition, renovation management, and timeline oversight, gave Jordan a complete view of the real estate value chain rather than a single specialization within it. “This is the thing I’ve come to love about entrepreneurship: there is an unlimited number of ways to make money.” Jordan quickly found that different strategies and approaches can produce meaningful income and impact. His direct real estate experience played directly into nine months as an acquisitions associate with a boutique real estate acquisition firm, sourcing deals, underwriting, and partnering on transactions through to close.

Private Equity & Capital Raising

Building the operating backbone.

Most recently, Jordan has focused on private equity operations, building the systems that support capital raising and day-to-day business operations of blue-collar business acquisitions. This has included CRM architecture, standard operating procedures, and reporting infrastructure: the operational backbone that lets a growing firm raise capital, scale, and run without depending on any one person to hold it together.

Within this operating structure, Jordan has overseen teams of up to 15 people and driven peak monthly revenue of $3 million. This work sits at the intersection of everything before it: the systems thinking from a science background, the enterprise-scale team leadership from Apple, the entrepreneurial instincts from startup work, and the deal fluency built through hands-on real estate projects.

Principles

Principles that guide the work.

Jordan brings in the right technology or the right expert for a given task rather than trying to own every function personally, the discipline that makes it possible to scale at paces most don’t believe possible.

Operational excellence

Systems that hold up without constant oversight: clear processes, clean reporting, and repeatable execution. Central to this is decentralized command: equipping teams with the standard operating procedures and context to make sound decisions without waiting on approval from the top.

Strategic problem-solving

Starting from the end goal and working backward, breaking large outcomes into specific daily and hourly actions rather than reacting to problems as they surface.

Ownership & accountability

When something goes wrong, the standard is to solve it directly rather than explain it away. That standard applies uniformly, to Jordan’s own work and to every team Jordan leads.

Mission

Structure for what comes next.

Jordan’s organizations exist to give owner-led businesses the operating infrastructure to scale beyond the founder: systems, leadership structure, and reporting that create visibility and control without requiring constant presence. Fortera helps businesses move from founder-dependent to institution-ready, building the structure required to grow, delegate, acquire, and govern with confidence.
